What's involved in your wild swims?
Our wild swims are optional activities that involve immersing yourself in cold water. Cold water immersion can have a positive effect on your body and mind within minutes, promoting a sense of rejuvenation and well-being. However, if you have any concerns about your health or medical conditions, we strongly advise consulting your doctor before attempting a wild swim. For more information on health and safety guidelines, please refer to our dedicated section on our website. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities.

What do you about bad weather?
Our team closely monitors the daily weather using specialised mountain forecasts (MWIS). If adverse conditions are expected, we will make every effort to inform you by 4pm on the day before the event or at least 24 hours beforehand if feasible. The unpredictable nature of mountain climate means we must adapt to wet weather when necessary, so rain is unlikely to lead to cancellation. However, if the weather unexpectedly worsens on the day or conditions become unsafe, our experienced guide will assess the situation and may decide to alter the route or, in extreme cases, cancel the event. Rest assured that if we cancel the event, a full refund will be promptly provided to all participants.

What footwear do I need?
We strongly suggest and advise wearing boots for the adventure, ideally worn in beforehand to prevent blisters that may occur during the first-time use. Boots are significantly superior to trainers, especially in wet and muddy weather conditions. While we recognise that not everyone may have boots, we highly recommend opting for them to ensure the utmost support and traction throughout the exhilarating journey. Your safety and comfort are paramount, and choosing well-worn boots will undoubtedly enhance your overall experience. However, we understand that not everyone may have boots, so we will also accept trainers. Nevertheless, if you have walking shoes available, that would be a more suitable option than trainers. Here is a full Kit List.

Can I bring my dog?
Absolutely! We absolutely adore having dogs accompany us on our walks. We kindly request that you only bring your furry friend if you believe they are capable of handling the challenge of the walk and can be well-behaved around livestock (must be on a lead). If you prefer not to be around dogs, please inform us in advance, and we will make certain that the event is free of canine companions.
