About the event
Join us on what will be a fantastic weekend in Eire hiking some of the best Mountains within the British Isles, with amazing views and some of the best hiking routes if not the best you will encounter within Ireland, all walks led by myself and a local guide at a relaxed friendly pace where we will enjoy the surroundings, take lots of pictures and make fantastic memories.

ITINERARY
Friday
Kick off your weekend adventure on Friday morning as we gather for the first time and embark on a hike up the classic Tomies Mountain, also known as Purple Mountain. Named for the stunning purple hue of its sandstone, this mountain offers a unique and picturesque start to our journey. Our walk begins at the Gap of Dunlop and takes us past the serene Coosaun Lough, covering a total distance of 11 miles with an ascent of 3255 feet. In the evening, unwind and get to know your fellow adventurers over a few pints of Guinness at a local bar, accompanied by traditional Irish music. It's the perfect way to relax and prepare for the big day ahead.
Saturday
Saturday is the highlight of our trip! We'll meet at the dedicated car park and set off to conquer five magnificent mountains: Lyreboy (442m), Caher (1001m), Carrauntoohill (1040m), Beenkeragh (1010m), and Skegmore (848m). This challenging route takes us over rocky outcrops and along fantastic ridge walks, with stunning views of four different lakes and the beautiful Irish landscape. The hike spans approximately 10 miles with an ascent of 3455 feet. After a day of exhilarating climbs and breathtaking scenery, we'll celebrate our achievements with an optional sit-down dinner, providing a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the day's adventures and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation.
Sunday
On Sunday morning, weather permitting, we'll embark on a hike to Ireland's highest lake, Lough Cummeenoughter, for a refreshing wild swim. This serene and picturesque spot is the perfect way to cap off our weekend adventure. Let's hope for a sunny day to make the most of this unique experience!
