Join us for an exhilarating guided group hike to the summit of Ben Nevis, taking the scenic and adventurous route via Carn Mor Dearg Arete. This is the perfect hike for those seeking a thrilling and less-traveled path to the highest peak in the British Isles. We will meet at the car park near Torlundy, a convenient location to begin our journey. From Torlundy, we'll embark on a stunning hike up the valley, heading first for Carn Beag Dearg. This initial part of the hike offers breathtaking views and a chance to acclimate to the terrain. From Carn Beag Dearg, we'll make our way across to Carn Mor Dearg, where the real adventure begins. The Carn Mor Dearg Arete (CMD Arete) is a narrow ridge that connects Carn Mor Dearg to Ben Nevis. This section of the hike is both challenging and spectacular, offering panoramic views of the surrounding Highlands and an unparalleled sense of achievement as you traverse the ridge.

 After crossing the CMD Arete, we'll make our final ascent to the summit of Ben Nevis. Standing at 1,345 meters (4,413 feet), the summit offers incredible vistas and a sense of accomplishment that is hard to match. The total distance of this hike is approximately 10 miles (16 kilometers), with an ascent of 1,345 meters (4,413 feet). The hike typically takes between 8 to 10 hours, depending on the pace of the group and weather conditions.

Terrain and Difficulty:

The hikes involves challenging terrain, with rocky paths and steep gradients. Hikers should have a good level of fitness and be prepared for variable weather conditions. 

Fitness Levels

You should be comfortable walking for at least 10km with a backpack as a minumum. This is a big day out, and only advisable to people with a decent amount of hiking experience. Due to the nature of this route we will be working to a very low client to guide ratio of 4:1
